Spotlight: Won nicely at Gowran on her second handicap start (16.5f, soft); hit with a 10lb rise for that but there was promise in her subsequent Punchestown fourth, where she was let down by her jumping; step up in trip may help her hurdling and that puts her in the mix.
Spotlight: Dual-purpose; sole success over hurdles came off 5lb lower for Gavin Cromwell at Bellewstown in April last year (2m1f, good to yielding); gave his best performance for current stable last time at Wexford when keeping on for a 2.25l second (16.5f, yielding); up 2lb now but place chance if putting his best foot forward.
Spotlight: Bumper winner in 2023 was regressive over hurdles last season but made immediate impact off much reduced mark for new yard when winning 2m4f soft ground Limerick handicap in October in a first-time tongue-tie; backed into 7-2 favourite to follow up at at Down Royal last time but returned to his regressive ways; hard to trust him.
Spotlight: Improving mare who got off the mark with a handicap hurdle win at Wexford in August and struck again at Fairyhouse in October with a smooth success; fell when last seen at Cheltenham later that month in a higher quality race, but she wasn't done with when departing at the second last; the softer conditions here raise a question and she takes a step up in trip compared to her 2m wins.
Spotlight: Some promise in Roscommon maiden hurdle run, but has been well beaten in three handicap runs; too keen around here over 2m5f and could only manage a 14l fourth over 18.5f at Cork last time; others more likely.
Spotlight: Kilbegggan maiden hurdle winner in June has steadily improved in three handicap runs; finished a 9.5l third at Galway last time despite making a bad mistake at four out; not completely ruled out but needs more.
Spotlight: Has struggled since gaining back-to-back Perth wins in the summer of 2023 at 2m4f and 3m; more like it at Ayr two weeks ago when defeated by a neck (24.5f, soft); blinkers on now and can't rule out.
Spotlight: Dual hurdles winner got her most recent win at Roscommon (3m, soft) in September last year off 12lb lower; showed little following that until a close second at Ballinrobe in September (2m6f, good to soft)); didn't back that up in two most recent outings, but the softer conditions are in her favour here and both first-time cheekpieces and tongue-tie are now applied.
Spotlight: Six career wins spread equally between chasing and hurdles; generally middling runs over hurdles this season before he switched to fences to get his most recent win at Fairyhouse last month (24.5f, yielding); no impact off revised mark at Down Royal two weeks ago and now switches back to timber off 12lb lower mark but not certain to make it count.
Spotlight: On a career high mark following her fifth hurdles win at Tramore last month (20.5f, yielding); unable to make much impact last time at Thurles in a better quality contest than her recent win; may find a few better handicapped.
Spotlight: Experienced 10yo who has seven wins to his name and got his most recent win at Kilbeggan in June (24.5f, good) off 2lb higher; creditable run at Tipperary in October when faded into a 3.75l third but a bit below that when fourth at Sligo later that month.
Spotlight: Front-runner has hit the frame in a couple of runs this season but well beaten in his last two runs; this distance on softer conditions might just stretch him.
Spotlight: Sole hurdles success came at Fairyhouse in December last year (16.5f, yielding) and she is still 8lb above that winning mark; poor form shown in recent Flat runs and fell at the third back over hurdles at Wexford last month; others more likely.

A lot in with chances, but the tentative nod is given to WATCHING THE CLOCK, who was let down by her jumping at Punchestown, but perhaps this trip can help her hurdling and put her in the mix. Paul's Dream wasn't a forlorn hope at Cheltenham when departing at the second last, but softer conditions pose a question for her. Softer conditions suit It's Not Over Yet and two pieces of headgear go on for the first time. [Denis Harney] Show less
