Spotlight: Not at his best on his last two starts but prior to that he had finished a good fifth behind Bacio at Royal Ascot (off a 3lb higher mark); 2-2 on AW; gelded since latest start; of some interest now back down in class.

Spotlight: Decisively justified support when dropped into a Class 5 at Kempton (6f) last month; would have followed up at Southwell granted any sort of luck in running and a 1lb rise is unlikely to prove beyond him in his current form; stall 1 could pose more traffic problems for him but he's still respected.

Spotlight: Two turf wins this year and he confirmed his wellbeing with a narrow defeat at Newmarket (6f, soft) 12 days ago; fully effective on Tapeta and should go well despite the widest stall.

Spotlight: Races off same mark as when an excellent second at York (6f) in June; not kicked on from that since but he is an AW winner and makes his debut for Michael Herrington (same owners) with the yard still flying along.

Spotlight: Seven-time AW winner, including C&D, and he has been in fair form on turf this summer; returns to this surface off a higher mark but it is not one that is beyond him.

Spotlight: C&D winner last October; off the mark in 2026 with a front-running 5f win at Musselburgh five weeks ago; up 3lb and drawn wide but not ruled out.

Spotlight: Enjoying a revival back at 6f, winning at Ripon in August and at Catterick 17 days ago; while the latest win was a veterans race, he travelled powerfully and probably had more to spare than the winning margin would indicate; 3-9 on AW, including a course win (7f), and his wide stall is less of a concern given he is likely to be dropped in; still feasibly weighted but suspicion he will need them to go hard early.

Spotlight: Has won over 6f but his best form has come over a stiff 5f; ran okay but with no excuses at Leicester (5f, good to firm) four weeks ago.

Spotlight: Back to winning ways when motoring home down the outside at Lingfield (5f, AW) when last seen in July; has gone well fresh in the past but his best results have come over the shorter trip.

Spotlight: Yet to add to his debut success in 13 runs since but he has been doing little wrong in recent starts, including when having a troubled run at Southwell 12 days ago (finished behind Kiniro who was also badly impeded); can win races off his mark but this one looks competitive.

Spotlight: Wouldn't worry too much about a low-key turf run seven weeks ago and prior to that he had finished a close second over C&D; unlikely to get an easy lead here but he has more wins in him on this surface.

Spotlight: Back to his last winning mark but has finished down the field in three runs for his current stable; eased in class but vulnerable.

Spotlight: Won over 6f in Ireland but all seven wins for Adrian Wintle have come at 5f; not at his best since a Chester win in July and this looks a warm race in which to try and bounce back.
